The Dutchman was superb at left-back during the recent wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool and there have been calls for him to stay there as Man United head into the final few games of the campaign.

Fans are undecided when it comes to Blind’s best role within the starting XI. Effective at both left-back and in central midfield, his versatility leaves van Gaal with a tricky decision of how to get the most out of his squad.
Throughout history, United have had plenty of versatile players and perhaps oneof the most famous examples would be John O’Shea, the quintessential “Jack of all trades” who played almost everywhere under Sir Alex Ferguson. Is there a possibility that Blind will become van Gaal’s version of O’Shea?
