Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao scored three goals in two games over the international break for Colombia so would it be totally farfetched for him to start against Aston Villa this weekend?
Alright, it probably would, but we’re going to argue for and against it anyway.
Yes, the goals were against inferior opposition in the form of Bahrain and Kuwait but it’s definitely a step in the right direction for Falcao. Goals breed confidence in strikers and the 29-year-old will be delighted to get on the scoresheet once again.
However, Falcao has been awful for the majority of this season and is yet to produce a match-winning display for United. What is to say he could do it against Villa?
Fans would be totally against such a decision but the United captain was largely anonymous against Liverpool at Anfield last time out.
