Ben Amos returns to Manchester United following Bolton Wanderers loan spell

Ben Amos has returned to Manchester United after completing a successful loan spell with Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

The 24-year-old originally joined Bolton on a short-term loan earlier this season following injuries to Adam Bogdan and Andrew Lonergan.

“[I] really enjoyed my time there, it’s a club ready to kick on now and challenge in the years to come,” Amos said on Twitter.

“Thanks to the fans and everyone who made my time at the club so enjoyable. Much appreciated!”

Amos impressed in their absence which eventually convinced manager Neil Lennon to extend his loan spell in March for an extra month.

Amos was finally given a platform to showcase his talent in the Championship and he flourished, winning Bolton’s Player of the Month award for March.

At United, it is highly unlikely he will get anywhere near the first-team squad in front of Victor Valdes and David de Gea.

Lennon has hinted he may look to sign Amos permanently in the summer and fans will be hoping he can seal a move so he can continue his development. Unfortunately for Amos, it doesn’t appear that he will get a chance to do it at United.
