The agent of Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani believes the striker will most likely move to England or Spain should he leave the Parc des Princes in the summer.
The Uruguayan doesn’t appear to be happy in France as he was involved in a touchline altercation with manager Laurent Blanc last weekend after he was substituted in his side’s 3-2 Ligue 1 win over Marseille.
Cavani’s agent, Claudio Anellucci, insists the player has made no decisions over his future but conceded he will likely end up in England or Spain should he leave PSG.
Speaking about Cavani’s future, Anellucci said: “Is Cavani on the market? At the moment it is a bit too early to say. Edi is under contract with PSG, and there are several factors that come into play with regards to his future.
“A soon as the situation is clarified, different scenarios could occur, for players like him, at this level of maturity, they are wanted by the biggest clubs in Europe. The market takes them towards Spain and England.
“We cannot say that right now an Italian club has the capacity to sign Cavani. Even if we have to remain attentive to the situation at Milan (who could be bought), we saw the recent ownership change in Valencia for example.”
United cannot afford to bring another flop to the club following the disastrous loan spell of Radamel Falcao this season.
Cavani has enjoyed a good goalscoring record for PSG and previous club Napoli but there are question marks over his attitude. He may not like it at United then as Louis van Gaal has shown over the course of the campaign that he is fully prepared to leave out those who do not adhere to his strict instructions.
