With Ben Pearson playing so well on loan, Harrop impressing with the U21s and the likes of Joe Rothwell also improving each season, there are a few midfielders in the academy sides who have the potential to make the step up to the first-team squad in the future.

Earlier this season Harrop set himself an ambitious target of reaching double figures with his goals and his brace is indicative of the progress he has made this year.

It’s always nice watching youngsters doing well at United and hopefully Harrop is able to build on his recent man of the match performance for his next appearance.
