Radamel Falcao continues to work hard for Manchester United despite troubles

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao was hard at work in training ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday.

The Colombian has only scored four goals for Man United during a troubled loan spell from Monaco and has been forced to watch from the substitute’s bench for large spells of 2015.

To add to his woes, van Gaal forced Falcao to suffer the indignity of playing for United’s U21s in March.

It is a sad state of affairs for the 29-year-old, who has endeared himself to fans with a top-class attitude off the pitch despite his troubles this season.

Once revered as one of the world’s deadliest strikers, you can feel the crowd willing Falcao to do well whenever he is on the pitch.

Unfortunately, he just hasn’t hit the heights for United that he did at Atletico Madrid and Porto.

Although it is highly unlikely he will be included in Louis van Gaal’s starting XI for the City game, he’s doing his utmost to earn himself another opportunity.
