Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has revealed his excitement ahead of Brazil U20s game against Honduras.

The youngster received special permission from Louis van Gaal to play in the friendly tournament, which will act as preparation for the upcoming FIFA U20s World Cup.

As well as Honduras, Brazil will line up against Cameroon and Qatar as they continue to nurture their young players.

Pereira is clearly delighted to be at the tournament and posted a picture of himself on Twitter wearing Brazil’s kit:

Pereira is going from strength to strength this season but United are yet to agree a new contract for the 19-year-old.

His current deal expires at the end of the season and a number of European sides including Juventus and PSV Eindhoven have been linked to his signature.

The longer he goes without a new deal, the more concerned fans will become over his situation. United will be keen for history to repeat itself after Paul Pogba left the club on a free transfer in 2012. After joining Juventus, the Frenchman went on to become one of the world’s best midfielders.
