The Dutchman recently hinted Wayne Rooney may be moved back to midfield in the absence of Blind and Carrick so there is a question mark over who will start up front for United.
We asked our Twitter followers for their thoughts on who should lead the attack against Chelsea:

@PeoplesPerson_ its time to unleash Falcao. He need this. Rvp is not match fit is falcao is obvious choice .

@PeoplesPerson_ As much as I love RvP, I'd say Falcao. He has patiently waited for his turn + RvP cannot start directly coming from injury.

@PeoplesPerson_ Give Falcao the start. He works hard & will put in the effort needed up front to replicate Rooney's harassment of CB's.

@PeoplesPerson_ Falcao. He's more fit than RVP and deserves one last chance to prove himself. And he bullied Chelsea when he was at Atletico

@PeoplesPerson_ Imagine if Falcao scores the winner tomorrow. Still think RvP would be a safer option.

@PeoplesPerson_ Given Robin's lack of fitness, it can only really be Falcao – if there was ever a time to turn his United career around…

The decision seems to be between Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie, with pros and cons for both, but Falcao is who the majority of fans want to see start.
Van Persie scored against Chelsea earlier this season but has only just returned to action following an ankle injury while Falcao is ready and raring to go despite his poor spell at Old Trafford.
It is an important decision to make and one that could potentially decide the outcome of the match. However, van Gaal will know he can bring one or the other off the substitute’s bench if things aren’t going to plan for his side.
