Manchester United suffer quadruple injury blow ahead of Chelsea game

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has revealed that Michael Carrick, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Daley Blind are all unavailable for Saturday’s game against Chelsea.

The news comes as a massive blow to van Gaal as he looks to extend Man United’s winning streak to seven games at Stamford Bridge.

However, there was one piece of good news for the Dutchman as Luke Shaw is available again following a hamstring injury.

United were in such a good run of form but will now have to deal with the injuries in order to make it seven wins in a row.

Just as United were beginning to build up a head of steam, injuries have threatened to derail all their good momentum.

Fans can hardly be surprised at the news considering United’s awful injury crisis during the first half of the campaign. Perhaps van Gaal will need to reevaluate his training methods as United cannot afford to keep having players absent in these crucial games.
