David de Gea – He’ll be busy now that Manchester United have suffered so many injuries.
Antonio Valencia – Eden Hazard is Chelsea’s danger man and Valencia needs to try and stop him. Good luck, Tony.
Chris Smalling – He is now United’s only available senior defender so must step up to the plate
Luke Shaw – The opportunity Shaw would have been waiting for will come against the club he supported as a boy. Script is written.
Wayne Rooney – Will have to play in midfield which is far from ideal given how much better he is up front but injuries to Carrick and Blind mean it is a necessity.
Ander Herrera – He’ll be the main creator. Needs to have a great performance.
Juan Mata – A special occasion for Mata on his return to Stamford Bridge and hopefully he’ll rise to the occasion.
Ashley Young – With Blind out, Young will need to kick it up a gear in order to create as much on the left flank.
Radamel Falcao – A last chance for Falcao? Probably not, it is surely too late now for him to earn a permanent deal but with Robin van Persie not fully match fit, van Gaal could give him a chance.
