Manchester United name strong U21s squad including Robin van Persie for Leicester game

Manchester United have named a very strong squad for tonight’s U21s game against Leicester which includes six first-team players.

Robin van Persie is in line to make his return to action whilst Adnan Januzaj, Jonny Evans, Tyler Blackett, Rafael and James Wilson could all feature as well.

The Dutch striker hasn’t featured at all since he injured his ankle against Swansea and having been named on the bench for Man United at the weekend, he is closing in on his return.

As for Evans, he has had to spend a long time on the sidelines having been suspended for six games after being found guilty of spitting at Papiss Cisse.

Blackett, Rafael, Wilson and Januzaj have all featured on more than one occasion for the U21s this season, so their inclusion in the squad is not very surprising.

Here is the squad in full: Rafael, Jonny Evans, Robin van Persie, Adnan Januzaj, James Wilson, Tyler Blackett, Ben Amos, Andy Kellett, Joel Pereira, Liam Grimshaw, Sean Goss, Donald Love, Tom Thorpe, Joe Rothwell, James Weir, Matthew Willock, Ashley Fletcher, Sadiq El Fitouri, Josh Harrop.
