Manchester United sent scouts to watch Internacional defensive midfielder Rodrigo Dourado play against Brasil de Pelotas last weekend.
The 20-year-old helped his side secure a 1-1 draw in the game before playing in the 4-0 victory over Universidad Chile in the Copa Libertadores on Thursday.
Dourado’s playing style has been compared to that of Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets as he possesses a good positional awareness and intelligence on the pitch.
Former Man United player Anderson may have told him about life at Old Trafford after he joined International in the winter transfer window.

United keep their eyes on players all over the world but it is always exciting for fans to see their club linked with a talented Brazilian prospect.
However, Anderson’s stories about Old Trafford may put off Dourado when it comes to a move as the former came in for a lot of criticism following a number of increasingly ineffectual performances towards the end of his time at the club.
Fans may have been hoping for a more established name but United have shown that they can develop world-class talent having signed the relatively unknown Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic in recent years before making them household names.
