Manchester United maintain an interest in Borussia Dortmund captain Mats Hummels but are yet to submit a bid for him, according to the Daily Mail’s Ian Ladyman.
Meanwhile, PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay is still undecided over which club to join between Man United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
Reports earlier this week suggested Man United made an opening bid of €30m for Hummels which had been rejected from Dortmund but Ladyman is now reporting on the contrary.
When it comes to United and transfers, it has become common practice in recent years for transfers to become muddled with contrasting stories and it looks to be the case with Hummels already.
PSV have confirmed that Depay will leave the club in the summer and it appeared that United was the obvious destination for the 21-year-old but Bayern’s interest has complicated the situation.
No bid for Hummels but #MUFC interest remains. Depay choosing between clubs. That's all.

The rumours surrounding Hummels and Depay will inevitably bubble on and fans would be wise to prepare themselves for a long transfer window.
United went through a similar saga with Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal last summer, which lasted right up until the window officially closed.
Vidal didn’t end up joining United but fans will be hoping that things pan out differently when it comes to Hummels and Depay. Both players possess proven quality and would significantly improve United’s squad.
