Borussia Dortmund captain Mats Hummels is growing tired of rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.
Hummels has been the subject of widespread speculation following a disappointing season for Dortmund, who currently sit ninth in the Bundesliga.
Those rumours intensified after manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Hummels previously spoke of how he wanted to leave the Bundesliga someday earlier this season.
When asked about United this week, the German World Cup winner revealed he is getting fed up with the speculation surrounding his future and neglected to comment on it further.
“I don’t want to talk about that topic constantly. I did it a few weeks ago – and that must be enough,” Hummels said.
Hummels may well want to stop talking about the matter but unfortunately for him, this transfer saga will rumble on whether he likes it or not.
A club as big as Manchester United attracts attention from all over the world and the potential signing of a world-class player has got fans hugely excited. Hopefully, the furore surrounding his potential arrival at Old Trafford does not put him off a transfer.
