Daley Blind returns to training for Manchester United

Daley Blind has given Manchester United’s squad an injury boost by returning to training.

The influential midfielder was sidelined for last weekend’s trip to Chelsea with an injury he sustained in the derby after Vincent Kompany’s shocking tackle on him.

In his and Michael Carrick‘s absence at Stamford Bridge, Wayne Rooney was forced back into midfield and United desperately missed his influence up front in the 1-0 loss.

Louis van Gaal has aired on the side of caution by saying Blind remains doubtful for the game but United fans will simply be happy to see the Dutch midfielder back in training.

Van Gaal has been a very careful manager this season in that he doesn’t rush players back from injury to bring them back in the team, he waits until they are ready.

However, with two weeks training under his belt since the Kompany tackle, fans will certainly be hoping Blind is passed fit for Sunday’s important game against Everton.
