Ahead of Manchester United’s game against Everton on Sunday, Colin Blaney from United Peoples TV met up with Peter McPartland of Toffee TV to have a quick chat.
The main talking point was Marouane Fellaini. When the Belgian midfielder went back to Goodison Park last year for the first time as a Man United player, he had to settle for a place on the bench as his poor form under David Moyes wasn’t enough to earn him a spot in the starting XI.
However, things couldn’t be more different heading into the game on Sunday. Fellaini has become one of Louis van Gaal‘s most important players and Jose Mourinho‘s decision to build a game plan to stop him was indicative of that at Stamford Bridge last week.
Fellaini was always a danger man for Everton when United played them but on Sunday the roles are going to be reversed and Roberto Martinez will be all too aware of the threat he poses.
Colin and Peter also had a chat about the game in general and United’s form this season under van Gaal.
