Daley Blind welcomes Memphis Depay to Manchester United

Daley Blind has welcomed Manchester United’s new signing Memphis Depay to the club.

The duo played together for Louis van Gaal‘s Holland at the 2014 World Cup and will no doubt be looking forward to linking up again with each other when Depay completes his move from PSV.

At the World Cup, Blind and Depay were a great partnership on the left flank when both were on the pitch together and there is every chance that partnership will be renewed at points next season as Blind will play at left-back on occasions just like he has done this year.

Van Gaal was always likely to bring in more Dutchmen this summer and Depay will become the first man through the door once he has completed his medical.

Depay might be the first signing but he certainly won’t be the last, although whether another Dutchman will join remains to be seen.

Either way, news of Depay joining is a great start to this summer’s squad renewal and it’s going to be very exciting seeing who else Van Gaal brings in.
