Manchester United secured three points against Crystal Palace yesterday but it was a far from accomplished performance.
Nerves were jangling for the majority of the game. Man United went 1-0 up in the first half but Palace didn’t sit back at all and put United under constant pressure from then on.
Chris talked to United Peoples TV after the game and raised that point. Without Carrick in the side, he feels United are playing nervous football and are not ‘clicking’ in the same way they did with the 33-year-old in the side.
United have all but secured top four with a win over Palace but should they solely be relying on a veteran midfielder for composure and calm? Chris doesn’t think so.
