Not much has been heard from Nick Powell in the last couple of months. After returning from a rather unsuccessful loan spell at Leicester City, the 21-year-old midfielder suffered an injury and then subsequently disappeared behind the scenes.
Back in February, Powell injured his hamstring but ever since then, there has been radio silence in terms of updates on his progress and how he is recovering from his injury.
So, it was good to hear from him this week and it seems he is having check-ups in London. If that’s the case, Powell is more than likely seeing a specialist about his condition to make sure the rehabilitation process is going as it should.
That being aid, any hamstring injury which can keep a player out for over two months is certainly not a light one, so hopefully there aren’t any complications in his recovery process.
Quick trip down to London ???? check up and done! ????

There once was a time when Sir Alex labelled Powell as a potential Paul Scholes replacement but as of yet that potential hasn’t been fulfilled.
Heading into the off season, there aren’t even any guarantees Powell will remain at the club having spent the overwhelming majority of this season away from the first-team environment.
He’s got bags of potential but hasn’t so far been able to live up to the expectation and promise with which he was brought to the club. Only time well tell to see whether he is given the opportunity to rectify that.
