Manchester United have been handed an injury boost with the news that Marcos Rojo could return against Arsenal on Sunday.
Rojo hasn’t played since the last game against Arsenal, the FA Cup defeat two months ago but will be a timely return with Luke Shaw set to miss out.
The left-back suffered from concussion after a knock in last week’s win over Crystal Palace, and with Wayne Rooney unable to play and fill Daley Blind‘s midfield role, Rojo should come in at left-back with the Dutchman remaining in midfield.
There was also a boost with the news that fellow Argentine Angel Di Maria could return, along with former Gunner Robin van Persie.
With Rooney & Shaw definitely out, the returns of Rojo and Van Persie couldn’t come at a better time, whilst Di Maria could be unleashed in the hope he can thrive on playing without pressure now that a top four spot is all but secured.
It could be Van Persie’s last Old Trafford appearance if rumours of a move away come true, but he’ll be fighting Radamel Falcao for a starting spot, with the Colombian also surely embarking on his final Old Trafford match.
