David de Gea – Will this be his last home game at Old Trafford? Manchester United fans certainly hope not but realise it may well be.
Antonio Valencia – Does a job at right-back and will do until a new one is brought into the club.
Chris Smalling – United’s first-choice defender right now.
Phil Jones – Could be switched out for Marcos Rojo as he’s available but we all know Van Gaal doesn’t like rushing players back.
Ashley Young – Has actually played very well at left-back this year.
Daley Blind – Needs to have a blinder up against a mobile Arsenal midfield.
Ander Herrera – Just like Blind, Herrera is crucial for United in a midfield role where he is free to roam.
Marouane Fellaini – Van Gaal’s plan B has become an integral part of his plan A and fresh from his winner against Crystal Palace, Fellaini will be buzzing.
Angel di Maria – Time for Di Maria to get his long awaited chance.
Juan Mata – He’s had a strong end to the season and will want to continue that.
Radamel Falcao – Needs goals and needs them fast, regardless of how close we are to the end of the year.
