Manchester United drew 1-1 against Arsenal on Sunday to all but end their hopes of finishing third in the Premier League.

United now sit two points behind Arsenal but the Gunners have a game in hand at home to Sunderland in midweek.

In what was one of the best first half performances of the season, United played with pace and passion and eventually got their reward when Ander Herrera fired home after 30 minutes.

Whilst there were few clear cut chances to make it two, United controlled the game until a couple of forced changes hindered their momentum.

David De Gea missed his first minutes of the season due to a back injury whilst a tiring Marcos Rojo was withdrawn for Tyler Blackett.

Arsenal soon made United pay, with Blackett deflecting a Theo Walcott cross past the helpless Victor Valdes and into the net.
