Radamel Falcao has sent a heartfelt message of thanks to Manchester United fans for their continued support of him despite an indifferent season at the club.
When Falcao was substituted on Sunday in United’s last home game of the season, the Old Trafford crowd gave him a standing ovation and sung his ‘Lolo Falcao’ chant loudly.
Given that the Colombian has scored only a handful of goals this season for Man United, you’d be forgiven if fans were frustrated and dismayed with Falcao by this stage in the season.
Yet, instead, they showed solidarity and support for a player who really has struggled to live up to expectations at Old Trafford.

United fans really are fantastic. Even right to the end under David Moyes, they stayed loud and proud and are showing that same sort of loyalty to Falcao.
You don’t get that sort of support at many of Europe’s elite clubs and you certainly wouldn’t get it in Real Madrid. Take note David de Gea, take note.
