Ilia Moutha Sebtaoui joins Manchester United from Standard Liege

Belgian newspaper HLN confirms Standard Liege goalkeeper Ilias Moutha Sebtaoui has joined Manchester United on a three-year deal.

The 16-year-old will go into Man United’s U18s and follows in the footsteps of Belgian duo Indy and Seppe Boonen who will also join up with him at Carrington next season.

Andreas Pereira and Adnan Januzaj are two examples of Belgian youngsters who have made a success of it at the club and Sebtaoui will certainly be hoping to follow in their footsteps.

It is a very competitive environment for young goalkeepers at United right now and already this season two more have been signed, not to mention Vanja Milinkovic who was signed last summer but immediately sent back out on loan to FK Vojvodina.
Louis van Gaal‘s scouting network is obviously working very hard behind the scenes to make sure some of Europe’s most talented youngsters are brought to the club and if this year is anything to go by, there will be plenty of opportunities for them when it comes to earning first-team chances under the Dutchman.
