Manchester United played out a forgetful 0-0 draw against relegated Hull City, ending the season in predictable manner.

Injuries had been a theme all season so it was apt they took over once again at the death. David De Gea missed his potential farewell, Angel Di Maria was pulled off after 20 minutes and Luke Shaw was still missing.

De Gea’s replacement, Victor Valdes, made two excellent saves to deny the hosts, but struggled in the air and will be happy with his clean sheet.

At the other end, United’s attackers failed to create a meaningful chance. Wayne Rooney hit the bar early on and Ander Herrera was denied by some good defending.

Sub Marouane Fellaini was sent off for an ugly challenge on former red Paul McShane, meaning he’ll miss at least the opening game of next season.
