Gareth Bale appears to confirm Real Madrid stay through Twitter account

by Ben Topliss

Gareth Bale has appeared to confirm he will stay at Real Madrid after telling fans he is looking to coming back stronger “next season” at the Bernabeu.

Madrid supporters have regularly singled out Bale for criticism over the course of the campaign following some increasingly indifferent performances.

The Welshman even had his car attacked following a demoralising defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Barcelona earlier this term.

Bale has been linked with a move to Manchester United as a result but he appeared to assure fans he will be staying through his Twitter account:

The news will disappoint United supporters but it was considered always unlikely that Bale would end up at Old Trafford.

Madrid made him the world’s most expensive player two years ago and a transfer now would be incredibly difficult to pull off.

United tried to capture Bale’s signature twice before when he left Southampton and then Tottenham Hotspur and it looks like they will miss out on him again.
