Manchester United have offered French side RC Lens €2m to sign Yassin Fortune but the club prefers to deal with Arsenal.
Reports from the French press say Lens want to want to accept Arsenal’s offer of €4m to sign Fortune and Jeff Reine-Adelaïde, rather than an individual offer from United.
This has also been covered by the British press earlier this week and the figures match up, so there seems to be plenty of reports around which all tie in with one another.
Foot Sur 7 also goes on to say Lens have decided to go ahead with Arsenal’s €4m double offer and it should be finalised very soon.
Although what United really need now is a powerful centre-back who can lead the defence, there is would be no harm in bringing in other youngsters to boost the squad strength of the U21s and U18s.
Arsesne Wenger’ strong affilation with French players is almost certain to be a deciding factor in their moves, much like Memphis Depay was with Louis van Gaal, so United may well have to look elsewhere.
