Peter Schmeichel has done his best to get Manchester United fans talking about Bastian Schweinsteiger after sending out a picture of him in the Bayern Munich dressing room next to his shirt.
The 30-year-old midfielder was tentatively linked with a move to Man United this week following some unsubstantiated claims attributed to the German press but it got tongues wagging about Schweinsteiger once again.
A few years ago, Schweinsteiger was one of the best midfielders in the world but a series of injuries have curtailed his influence at Bayern. That being said, he’s still undoubtedly a world class player.
From the Bayern dressing room, Schmeichel cheekily asked his followers on Twitter whether Schweinsteiger would be playing in the red of United next year:

Under Pep Guardiola, Schweinsteiger hasn’t played a major role thanks to his injuries, so would he consider a move away this summer if United wanted to sign him?
The Louis van Gaal factor could certainly get him thinking about it because it was the Dutch coach who converted him into a central midfielder from a winger and he’s never looked back since.
What do you think? Would Schweinsteiger consider a move to Manchester United this summer?
