David de Gea has wished his Manchester United team-mate Javier Hernandez happy birthday today.
The Mexican striker turns 27 today and De Gea’s affectionate ‘love u bro [sic]’ comment is indicative of a close bond they had together at Old Trafford.
Both Spanish speakers, Chicharito and De Gea arrived at the club within the space of 12 months and went on to be important players in their own right.
Yet, there is every chance neither will play a competitive game in a United shirt ever again as they could both leave the club this summer.

Chicharito and De Gea have to go down as two of the most endearing players to have been signed by the club in recent history and the fact they were both named Man United’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, as voted for by fans, is indicative of that.
There has been an untold amount of changes at Man United over the last two years but fans are expecting widespread changes once again this year as part of Louis van Gaal building his own squad.
Although Chicharito no longer has a place at United and De Gea is likely to join Real Madrid, they will always have a spot in the hearts of fans.
