Memphis Depay bonding well with new Manchester United team-mates

New signing Memphis Depay has been pictured bonding with Manchester United teammates Robin van Persie and Daley Blind.

The winger agreed to join Manchester United in early May after a blistering season with PSV Eindhoven where he scored 22 goals as his side romped to another Eredivisie title.

Depay is currently away on Netherlands duty for their upcoming international games and has been working hard in training ahead of Friday’s game against USA.

An Instagram post from Ruud van Nistelrooy shows Depay looking cheerful alongside Van Persie and Blind.

Louis van Gaal‘s latest addition to his squad won’t officially become a United player until the transfer window opens on 1 July but the 21-year-old is already showing signs of settling in with his new team-mates.

The Dutch presence at Old Trafford is a big reason why Depay chose to sign for United amid interest from elsewhere but the main factor was Van Gaal, who worked closely with the winger during his time in charge of the national team.

Striking up a good relationship with teammates and staff at such an early stage will help Depay in terms of confidence as he embarks on a new stage of his career.

Hopefully this healthy bond between the Dutch contingent at United continues on the pitch next season.
