PSV Eindhoven forward Rai Vloet has revealed he dreams about playing for Manchester United someday.
The 20-year-old is considered to be a bright talent but he played just 78 minutes of first-team football last season.
Man United have a history of signing PSV’s players with Jaap Stam, Park Ji-sung, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Memphis Depay all moving to Old Trafford in recent years.
Vloet has spoken with manager Phillip Cocu about playing more next term and hopes that his performances will eventually catch United’s eye.
When asked about United, Vloet said: “That is something I dream about [playing for Manchester United].
“But my focus is now first with PSV and Dutch youth team. Let me first excel there, then the rest will follow.”
Now that Memphis has left PSV, Vloet is set to take up a much bigger role at the club.
The Dutchman impressed in the Jupiler League last season with the club’s second-string side, Jong PSV, and Cocu has been keen to give him some first-team action whenever he can. United keep tabs on young players all over the world so it is likely that they will do the same with Vloet.
