Man Utd transfer news: Juventus seal Paulo Dybala move, Jan Vertonghen urges Hugo Lloris to stay

by Ben Topliss

In the latest of our Manchester United transfer roundups, Juventus have revealed that they have reached an agreement with Palermo over the transfer of Paulo Dybala.

The Argentine was linked with a move to Man United, along with Manchester City, Barcelona and Chelsea, for a number of months but Juventus have stolen a march on their rivals.

Louis van Gaal is on the lookout for a striker this summer following the departure of Radamel Falcao and the news will come as a blow.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has spoken out about the speculation surrounding Hugo Lloris by urging him not to leave White Hart Lane.

Man United are said to be considering bringing Lloris in if David de Gea leaves but Vertonghen insisted Spurs must keep the Frenchman if they want to finish fourth in the Premier League. If De Gea does depart Old Trafford he will upset Marouane Fellaini, who revealed on Thursday that he wants the 24-year-old to stay at United.

Meanwhile, David Moyes has revealed he tried to sign Gareth Bale for United before he joined Real Madrid. Even if he had signed the Welshman, we doubt that it would have made much of a difference to his ill-fated spell in charge of the club.

Finally, Swiss defender Fabian Schar has put an end to rumours linking him with Louis van Gaal’s side by sealing a move to Hoffenheim.
