Dani Alves’ agent Dinorah Santana has confirmed he has been in contact with AC Milan over a potential move to the Serie A club this summer but warned there were other clubs interested.
The 32-year-old is out of contract this summer at Barcelona and all negotiations with the European champions have failed as Alves’ demands weren’t met.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Alves for a long time but Santana has now named Milan as a club who has been in contact.
“I can confirm that there have been contacts with Milan,” Santana said.
“But now we have to wait, I have to talk directly with Dani and evaluate what will be. There’s not only Milan on him, there are other requests that I do not want to reveal.
“I can only add that I just have to wait and see how things evolve.”
Alves might have put in an indifferent performance in the Champions League final but over the course of the season he has been crucial for Barcelona.
However, the Brazilian looks set to leave on a free this summer and a number of clubs are interested in signing him.
From Man United’s perspective, Alves would be a ready made right-back who could come straight into the team but there are plenty of sceptics as to whether he is the right man for Louis van Gaal to sign.
With more than one club interested in Alves, he won’t struggle to find a new club. However, whether it will end up being United remains to be seen.
