Arturo Vidal has confirmed that he wants to remain a Juventus player for the foreseeable future.
Vidal has been linked to a host of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, since emerging as one of the best midfielders in the world.
The Chilean is preparing for the Copa America in his native country and will look to bring success to Jorge Sampaoli’s men after a good World Cup showing last summer.
Despite the rumours that keeping cropping up, Vidal wants to remain at the club he joined in 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen in order to win more trophies.
“We gave everything we had on the pitch,” Vidal told reporters as he flew out to Chile for the Copa America.
“Juve proved ourselves a great team. Next year I want to play another Champions League Final with this jersey.
“I have a contract with Juventus and hope to see it through. I am a little sad with the result, but happy with what we did, as we really fought for every ball.
“When we equalised with Alvaro Morata, we really did think we’d go on to win, but they hit us with their second goal during our best period of the game.”
Man United and Vidal rumours just will not go away but it seems that these comments along with Vidal’s actions prove that he speaks the truth regarding his love for Juventus. That being said, there will no doubt be a story next week linking the Chilean.
While many United fans will tell you that he would be ideal in Van Gaal’s team, the likelihood of them ever signing the Chilean are almost non-existent at this point.
