Radamel Falcao risks the wrath of Manchester United fans if rumours that he is set to join Premier League rivals Chelsea are to be believed.
The Colombian joined Man United on a season long loan from Monaco last summer but he endured a hugely frustrating spell at Old Trafford and scored just four goals.
Despite this, supporters backed Falcao throughout his time at United and even gave him a standing ovation in what turned out to be his last appearance for the club against Arsenal.
We asked our Twitter followers if their opinion of the player would change if he joined Chelsea:
@PeoplesPerson_ Yes, a lot. I'll hate him

@PeoplesPerson_ Still love him but would be gutted if he scores against us.

@PeoplesPerson_ I thought he was a great striker when he joined and still think that. He will get his form back. Sadly not for us.

@PeoplesPerson_ Won't change on my behalf. For all his incompatibility in our squad, he gave it his all. Fate might be kinder to him.

@PeoplesPerson_ we rejected him which was an awful decision. If he joins Chelsea I hope he does well

@PeoplesPerson_ nah, he's a great player. Shame it didn't work out. I'd be gutted if he plays for Chelsea but it's best for him.

@PeoplesPerson_ he gave everything for us and I thank him and admire him for that but couldn't stand him if he joined Chelsea.

@PeoplesPerson_ we had the chance to sign him and didn't, it'll be hard to watch but can't blame him really

The situation is a difficult one for fans. Falcao had a first-class attitude on and off the pitch which endeared him to the Old Trafford faithful but United just couldn’t risk keeping him another year.
Falcao doesn’t owe United anything but there would still be a sense of betrayal if he ends up joining Chelsea given the goodwill towards him.
The thought of the player firing Chelsea to the Premier League title is a sickening one. Hopefully Falcao sees sense and moves abroad to a club such as Valencia.
