Who have Manchester United offered new contracts to?

The Premier League has now released the official club lists of retained and released players following the end of the 2014/15 season.

Manchester United let five players leave the club including Tom Cleverley and U21s captain Tom Thorpe, with the latter’s exit causing a lot of frustration among fans given that he was never given the right opportunity to fulfill his potential.

As well as players who have been retained by United, there are 18 players who currenty have contract offers pending. Here’s the full list of those players:

There are some very promising names in this list. From midfielder Ben Pearson, who impressed so much on loan last season at Barnsley, to goalkeeper Joel Castro Pereira who is growing in stature the more he plays.

As for some of the younger players, Devonte Redmond and Demetri Mitchell are extremely promising so it’s no surprise to see them being offered a contract with the club.

United have such a high turnaround of players at this age because there is a constant cycle of players coming through and this year will be no different.
