Inter Milan have made an £8m bid for Manchester United outcast Javier Hernandez, according to the Mirror.
The Mexican recently returned to Old Trafford following a hugely frustrating loan spell at Real Madrid.
Although he scored the winner against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final last term, Hernandez was rarely used at the Spanish side.
Despite what was an overall quite disappointing campaign as a whole, the player is still highly regarded across Europe despite this and Inter have now reportedly made their move.
Inter manager Roberto Mancini wants to bring in Hernandez and one other striker this summer but United are holding out for £10m.
Hernandez faces a bleak future at United and it would be in the interest of both parties for him to leave. At Inter, Chicharito would have the opportunity to re-start his career once again.
From United’s perspective, his exit from the club would give Van Gaal money in their pursuit of players such as Nicolas Otamendi while Hernandez would get some minutes on the pitch elsewhere.
