Fans’ view: Would Felipe Anderson be a good signing?

by Ben Topliss

Manchester United have already been linked with moves for a whole host of names since the end of last season and the latest player to take up the column inches is Lazio’s Felipe Anderson.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder enjoyed a fine campaign in Serie A last term and caught the eye with some cracking performances.

Although Man United have players such as Angel di Maria, Juan Mata and Ashley Young on the books, Louis van Gaal is said to be keen on bringing Anderson in.

We asked our Twitter followers for their thoughts on whether or not Anderson would be a good signing:

Although Anderson is clearly a talented footballer, the reported £30m fee may be better spent improving other areas of the squad.

United need to sign a defender and a central midfielder, with Nicolas Otamendi and Ilkay Gundogan both strongly linked to the club.

Van Gaal is also said to be keen on Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino. The 23-year-old is more capable of playing up front which may make him better suited to replace Radamel Falcao.
