The agent of rumoured Manchester United target Roberto Firmino has confirmed that the Brazilian will move to England this summer.
Firmino enjoyed a fine campaign for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last season and reportedly caught the eye of Louis van Gaal.
Reports last week suggested the attacking midfielder is closing in on a move to Old Trafford as Man United look to boost their options ahead of a return to the Champions League.
The player’s agent, Roger Wittmann, appeared to lend substance to the rumours by confirming Firmino will play in England next term.
Speaking about the situation, Wittman said: “I can only say that he will move to England.”
Firmino registered ten goals and 12 assists in all competitions last season and is capable of playing anywhere along the front line.
Man United already have the likes of Angel di Maria, Juan Mata, Memphis Depay and Ashley Young at the club but Firmino’s versatility will make him a valuable addition to the squad should he join. Perhaps van Gaal sees the 23-year-old as a long-term option up top following the departure of Radamel Falcao.
