Andy Cole was a fantastic player for Manchester United and he scored an incredible amount of goals over the course of his career but we’re not quite sure he knows how transfers work.
According to the 43-year-old, Man United should snub Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero instead.
Of course, it is highly unlikely that City will let go of their prize asset and especially not to their arch rivals.
We asked our Twitter followers for their thoughts on whether or not United should make a move for the Argentine:
@PeoplesPerson_ No brainer we should, best no. 9 in the world. But will be very unlikely to get him though

@PeoplesPerson_ Strengthen the team with a top striker proven in EPL and weaked a direct rival. My preferred candidate for the no 9 shirt!

@PeoplesPerson_ He is very good and it'd wind city right up! Sounds perfect.

@PeoplesPerson_ Yeh, best striker in the world in my opinion. Will never happen though, unfortunately.

@PeoplesPerson_ World class No9 would love him but unfortunately don't think City are stupid enough to sell him to us!

@PeoplesPerson_ World class striker no doubt. Injuries seem a concern. Is it going to happen? NEVER.

@PeoplesPerson_ Obviously if there's any chance of signing him we should, but I don't believe there is.

United should always be looking to sign the best players in the world and Aguero certainly fits the bill in that respect.
However, there is absolutely no way that City will sell him to United anytime soon. Cole must have had a sherry or two before he gave the interview.
Louis van Gaal seems to be set on his list of attacking targets, with Roberto Firmino the latest player to be strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
