Real Madrid have told Manchester United that Gareth Bale is going nowhere

Gareth Bale will not be leaving Real Madrid this summer despite interest from Manchester United, according to Marca.

Man United had been linked with a move for the Welshman after what was a hugely frustrating campaign for him last term.

Bale put in a number of sub-par performances in big games and fans even went as far as to attack the player’s car as a result.

Despite the speculation, Madrid have insisted their club-record signing will be going nowhere this summer.

Louis van Gaal is reinventing his attacking options ahead of next season and Bale would have been an excellent addition.

Along with Memphis Depay and Angel di Maria, United fans had been getting excited about what the team could achieve with them all in the same starting XI.

From an objective point of view, Bale’s signing would be strange because United have so much strength in the wide positions already and have signed Depay this season to bolster them too.

However, it appears as though the problems that the Madrid fans had with Bale will not force Florentino Perez into the sale of his most recent Galactico.
