Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes that Sergio Ramos will not be leaving Real Madrid this summer.
Ramos’ future has been the subject of increased speculation in the past 24 hours, with reports suggesting that he could be on his way to Manchester United.
Louis van Gaal is apparently keen to secure the Spanish international’s signature in any deal that involves David de Gea, should he decide to leave Old Trafford.
Balague however, has insisted Ramos is holding out for a new contract at Madrid and that Man United’s interest is being used to sweeten negotiations between the player and Los Blancos representatives:
Little break in the (writing) holidays. Ramos buyout clause is €200 million. Real Madrid is not selling. He wants a better contract

United fans have gotten used to these sorts of rumours by now, with players such as Dante and Thomas Muller both using the club before agreeing more lucrative contracts with Bayern Munich in the past.
However, some supporters may feel this is good news. Ramos endured a torrid World Cup campaign with Spain last year, while Madrid also conceded a disappointing 38 goals in La Liga last season, more than any other team in the top four.
Such statistics suggest that the reported €40m asking price is unreasonable and that United boss Louis van Gaal might be wise to turn his focus elsewhere.
