Davide e Gea spotted in Singapore, asked on future, response was telling

David de Gea has decided to take some time away from Spain with a holiday trip to Singapore.

With his future still firmly up in the air, the Manchester United goalkeeper was spotted in Singapore by some local fans.

De Gea was spotted having dinner with Valencia owner Peter Lim, for reasons unbeknownst, and one eager fan was able to ask the 24-year-old the million dollar question – whether he was going to stay at United.

“When I asked if he was staying (at Manchester United), he just afforded a smile,” Nicolas Phua said.

That’s about as much information as De Gea has given fans since the end of the season.

His silence has frustrated many but given the circumstances and the fact he clearly wants to return to Madrid, it’s not an entirely unexpected period of silence.

The Sergio Ramos situation has put the De Gea rumours on the back burner in the last week but the future of United’s undisputed No.1 goalkeeper still remains the most important single piece of business which Louis van Gaal will do this summer.
