Sergio Ramos is determined to leave Real Madrid and join Manchester United this summer after United’s €40m bid. At least, that is what Graham Hunter told Sky Sports last night.
The 29-year-old Real Madrid defender has been at the centre of a transfer saga linking him with a move to Man United.
Louis van Gaal is in the market for a new centre-back to help push United towards becoming title contenders once again and Ramos has been identified as one potential signing to help make that happen.
At first, fans couldn’t quite believe the rumours given how many other players (such as Dani Alves this summer) used United in order to get themselves a better contract with their current club.
That being said, fans can’t help but get excited at the thought of Ramos joining United this summer:

I think Manchester United are getting played by Sergio Ramos and his agent. He’s a quality player but is he using http://t.co/D41dmjkkUu

Former United striker Andy Cole has concerns that Ramos could be using United for a new contract and plenty of fans share that worry. However, fans are letting themselves imagine Ramos moving to Old Trafford now that the rumours are continuing to gather pace which is always dangerous.
If he was to join, it would undoubtedly be one of the signings of the summer and in terms of bringing leadership, quality and experience to United’s defence, there aren’t many players who can offer as much as Ramos.
Since the stories emerged, Ramos’ mother has come out and said the exact opposite that he actually wants to stay in Madrid but it won’t stop fans believing there is a possibility he could be calling Old Trafford home next summer.
