Angel di Maria saved his best performance in the 2015 Copa America for the semi-final against Paraguay.
Although Lionel Messi stole the show, Di Maria’s two goals and delectable assist embodied a performance which showed the Argentinian is closing in on full form.
The 27-year-old’s smartly taken first goal, calmly finished second into an open net and a cross which made it impossible for Sergio Aguero to miss showcased how much variety he has in his locker when he’s able to use it.
Manchester United fans were understandably delighted to see Di Maria in such free flowing form:
Thought I might regret stayin up to watch this in the morning but that was an exceptional performance by #Arg.Pleasure to watch esp Di Maria

Di Maria’s first season didn’t live up to the expectation he set with his first five performances but as they always are, United fans were patient with him.
Now, after a strong summer with Argentina that will hopefully culminate in him banishing his woes at missing the World Cup final by winning the Copa America, Di Maria could return to United as a new man.
Just imagine how lethal United would be if Memphis Depay and Maria are both in form an tearing it down the wings? It’s a wonderful thought.
