Manchester United will kick-off the new Premier League season after BT Sport secured the rights to their opening game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Man United will start their campaign at Old Trafford on Saturday 8 August at 12.45pm.
Sky Sports opted against showing United, instead preferring to broadcast Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool games across the whole weekend.
United will be shown a total of six times on television before September, with BT also broadcasting the match against Newcastle United next month.
However, United’s clash against Aston Villa on has been rescheduled for Friday 14 August at 7.45pm.
This is due a planned English Defence League march that will take place in the area on Saturday 15 August. The police will be required and the match has therefore been moved.
The excitement surrounding the new Premier League season is building but United have the small matter of a pre-season tour of the United States to deal with first.
