Juan Mata has told fans he “can’t wait” for next season after returning to Carrington on Friday ahead of the new campaign.
After a tricky start at Old Trafford, Mata really came into his own at Man United towards the back end of last term.
Memorable goals against Liverpool and Manchester City established the Spaniard as a fans’ favourite and there is growing excitement about what he can do next year.

After a tremendous campaign, expectations are high for Mata. The 27-year-old has been in and out of the starting XI at times during his United career but he has still scored 15 goals in just 48 games from midfield.
As well as being a creative influence on the rest of the squad, Mata’s goals have come at crucial times against big opponents, making him a vital part of the United team. If not for Mata, United may have struggled to get back in the top four.
