Manchester United have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan but the player would prefer a move to Chelsea, according to AS.
The 28-year-old is said to be the subject of a £29m bid from Man United but Arda has his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge.
As a result, he will await an offer from Jose Mourinho before responding to Louis van Gaal.
Barcelona have also been linked with the attacking midfielder as they look to beef up their already impressive squad ahead of next season.
Arda has the ability to play in a number of attacking positions and it is no secret that van Gaal is fond of versatile players.
However, with the addition of Memphis Depay at Old Trafford this summer fans are wondering where he would fit into the starting line up. Perhaps van Gaal should prioritise a deeper lying midfielder or a defender before upgrading the squad elsewhere.
