Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Radamel Falcao on a one-year loan deal.
The Colombian striker left Manchester United this summer after Louis van Gaal decided not to extend his loan spell following a very disappointing campaign.
Despite Falcao’s shortcomings, which continued with very under par performances at the Copa America, Jose Mourinho has decided to give him another opportunity to prove himself in the Premier League.
Understandably, Falcao is very happy to have been afforded another chance: “I am very happy to be joining Chelsea and can’t wait to start training and help with our aim of retaining the league title and being successful in Europe.”

Falcao can count himself lucky to have landed on his feet at Stamford Bridge but it remains to be seen whether Mourinho’s move to sign him turns out to be nothing but wasted money.
United took the real gamble last year when they brought in Falcao and it backfired.
Now, United fans will certainly be hoping the same thing happens again despite the fact Falcao left as a fans’ favourite after winning over the hearts of supporters in his short spell at the club.
