Ander Herrera enjoyed a fantastic debut campaign at Manchester United and he will be hoping for more of the same when the new Premier League season kicks off in August.
Louis van Gaal left out the £29m signing for large parts of the first half of the season but Herrera kicked on after Christmas and put in a number of fine performances.
The Spaniard won Man United’s Player of the Month award twice in February and April and also the Goal of the Month prize in January and May.
United fans have been getting excited about what Herrera can do with a full season at Old Trafford now under his belt and the player has begun preparations by getting himself some new boots:

Van Gaal often had to play Wayne Rooney with Herrera in the middle of the park last season so it is no surprise to see United linked with the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger in recent weeks.
Herrera should be able to really push on with a reliable presence alongside him. The 25-year-old has spoke of how he wants to emulate Paul Scholes’ achievements at United and there is no reason why he can’t be a mainstay in the side’s midfield for years to come.
